What is MNP Status

MNP Status Online Checking Process

Step 1:   First, go to the official website of MNPindia.in and click on Know your porting status in the menu.

Step 2: Now you will have a window open that will ask you to enter some important details like your mobile number and UPC code. UPC means Universal Product Codes which comes via the message on your mobile when you send a message to the port for 1900

Step 3: After that, you have to insert a Captcha Code which will be placed in front of the box.

Step 4: After doing all this, tap the Submit button.

Step 5: If you give inaccurate information, then it will ask you to put all the information again.

The process to port your number

There are some rules for Mobile Number Port that you have to follow.

     If you have purchased a new SIM from any company, you can not port that number before 3 months.

Step 1: First of all, you need to generate UPC (Unique Porting Code) by sending an SMS from your mobile number. Which must be sent in the format given below.

PORT <10 digit mobile number> send to 1900.

Step 2: After sending the SMS, you will get the UPC code on your mobile number. This code will be sent by the telecom company in which you are currently registered.

Step 3: Now you have to go to the operator in which you want to port your number. There you will have to tell the UPC code. And you have to show your own photo ID like Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID card or Driving License.

Step 4: After all this, the operator will give you a new SIM card. The whole process can take up to seven days and according to the plan of that company you may have to pay a few rupees.
