Huawei opens its search engine to all mobile phones and starts to compete with Google

Petal Search is a search engine launched a few months ago by the company, which uses artificial intelligence and big data technologies to provide a better user experience.

The technology giant Huawei opened as a novelty to all mobile devices the new search engine it has launched, called ‘Petal Search’, with which it intends to compete with Google, which in Europe accounts for around 97% of searches.

The deputy director of Huawei Search Europe, Fernando Garcia, responsible for the application, said this Thursday that the domains have been opened on the internet so that any user of any device, with the iOs system (Apple) or Android, can use this search engine.

On Android mobiles, an application can also be downloaded from the App Gallery, the application store that Huawei launched after it was vetoed by the United States.

The app only for android

At the moment, the application cannot be downloaded on iOs devices, although devices with this operating system will be able to access it, but from the browser.

Petal Search is a search engine launched a few months ago by Huawei, which is focused on the mobile experience and uses artificial intelligence and big data technologies to provide a better user experience.

It includes more than twenty categories – between flights, hotels, weather, sports, events, series, news, and movies, among others.

Data and servers in Europe

The servers of this search engine are in Europe, as is the data, so all this is governed by European regulation and has the highest security certifications, according to the company.

Another novelty of the search engine is that all the technology that Huawei has implemented around Petal Search will leave it open so that all developers can access it.

Upcoming advertising

Huawei’s idea is for this platform to broadcast advertising and, for this, they are about to launch their new platform, which will allow them to promote products and services and which will constitute their main business.

In addition, they offer possibilities of collaboration with other partners, through temporary promotional campaigns, such as Black Friday, in which they can present their products in an attractive way.

The search engine is six months old, and the idea is to make it a fast and competitive search engine. “Few services have evolved so quickly,” he said.

Last week, a service to highlight the news was announced and this search engine offers a new presentation system.
